No wonder she wont do a sketch for us at SDCC and no wonder she charges like Kozik for anything. The sketch below is over a grand and the flower sculpt (which rules) is 12K. HOLY CRAP. Mental note, Tara Mcpherson is the femal Frank! her art is badass except they were all used as show posters at some point i think.
more from her opening can be seen here http://jonathanlevinegallery.com/?method=Exhibit.ExhibitDescription&ExhibitID=6DE9507F-115B-5562-AA8D725467169C25

Atlanta Comics Expo raises “Munny” for RIF (Reading is Fundamental).
An extremely talented and eclectic group of artists banded together at Atlanta Comics Expo (ACE) this past February 8-10th in support of RIF. Their resulting efforts are being auctioned off here on E-BAY so as to raise the greatest amount of Money and Awareness for RIF.
Each artist created their own custom Munny, which if you do not know, is a vinyl action figure with moveable joints produced by designer toy pioneers KidRobot. The Munny is primarily a "Do-it-Yourself" type action figure which the owner can decorate in any number of ways.

this past weekend I saw this film and honestly, it ruled. splendid simple animation that totally draws you in. i suck at writing reviews, so just understand its good!!!! the black and white imagery is outstanding and the film is very funny. the story of a girl growing up in iran and trying to break free from her country, past, war, and to herself here is the site http://www.sonypictures.com/classics/persepolis/ and more importantly, a great review http://www.ninthart.com/display.php?article=636

Been in the works a while and I have finally taken the plunge. Starting soon, I will be releasing a series of the higher-end pieces like a vinyl Ho Chi Minh, The Clockwork Beethoven and some other very 'pop' style pieces under my own Brand 'Ultraviolence'
these will be distributed by DKE Toys and most of your favorite retailers will have exclusive colorways. i will also be offering 1 colorway direct each time, I will probably set up a website for that soon.
The Ultraviolence pieces will be more 'high end' 'art' collector oriented as oppossed to the more widely sold 'cute' stuff. Rotocast, Fiberglass and some actual bronze versions as well. 5 projectsd are currently in production for release through 2009.
Subbers will always get MY 'retail' colorway as well.
Several new prototypes will be shown at SDCC I will have a booth in the 4800 aisle again this year. Hope to see you there.
