Hahaha! This rules!
Having spent the first 6 years of my life in California and still having family and a few friends there, I can honestly say this is true. They really are clueless about what people and places are like outside of California (with the exception of Nevada because Vegas "is, like, soooo not that far away"). My friend's little sister asked if we had a movie theater where I lived in North Carolina. Also having to point out North Carolina on a map to a guy that had graduated high school was also kind of sad. OK, tangent.
