more music for you and you

Now the age old question of "what do you listen to". Well I honestly listen to alot of music. for some reason daily i listen to strike anywhere, the national, rise against, bloc party, and explosions in the sky. but at night i tend to watch youtube videos of bands. and that brings me to
CODEINE
ive never seen this video before tonight so if you are a fan of LOW and slowcore music, this will put you to sleep, depressed, and somberness.



Then one of the few bands that exist today that I can say play with 200% emotion. every jackass and his sister will throw out the word "passion" to talk about music. and if you show me one band with actual passion ill show you 10000 that think they do but really dont. unless you speak japanese, you are out of luck here. this is ENVY



its funny. there is a local band that covers the next band. they say "they changed my life" well they did that for alot of us waaaaay before your time. you see, alot of us remember seeing this band on 120 min and being blown away. it was something completely different from what we were exposed to at the time. when we found out about their demise, i remember the talks of how bummed we were. we knew they had a pushead 7" to come out and one more song, but that was the end of it. some lads and i worked a foo fighters show at 328 once not because of the ex Nirvana-ness of it all. nope we were more stoked to talk to the srummer and bass player because they were from the band here. Ahh those SDRE dudes. Now in the late 90's the news came that they were back together and holy fuck we were stoked. An entire crew of us packed into Nick's van to Atlanta for the closest show. I think seeing sunny day real estate for the first time could quite be compared to.... i had about 6 more lines typed here, but thats my moment. im not sharing that.
