When it can be called art. Old Skool Nashville
It seems like most of the "art" driven Graf in this town has died. Most of what you see is highschool white collar richkids throwing up some cheapass tag. Just to be cool because they saw Banksy or Shep pull some shit. None of them actually try to be artists. Back in the day there was a few around town that had skills and made actual "street art". this was before I moved here, so I had to do some digging. One of the images above is by Revok who was featured in Juxtapoz a few issues back. I love seeing skills like this and not latin crew shit that looks like it was written by a caveman.

I totally dig the stuff...there is still great graff writers in town just alot of them have kids and families ,so they dont get up like they used to,alot of the greats moved. ex. revok,sever, those cats are what got me into urban art....its still fun to find old peices they did around town...funny thing is alot of the graff artists are still artists but are trying to make a little cash to get by
Thats good to know. Most of the pieces you see around town are just scrawl or the latin pride guys. You don't see that much in the way of art pieces. I, the other Pee, and Brad all fully endorse the artists trying other avenues to support their families. I love seeing street work on other mediums like canvas, metal, found objects, vinyl, and even wood.
Brad has mentioned trying to pull some things together to do more art shows in this nature but they guy is busy and got lots going on in his dome to focus on other things now. Hopefully some good things will happen.

i dont think sever ever lived here, but just came around because revok. I use to be on another on of the nashville graff sites from when i was barely 15/16. Its embarrasing haha, but crazy to think that it was like 7 nearly, 8 years ago.
one time i kiss revoks little sis in the bathroom of journeys opry mills. She was a fucking babe!
